I'm a North Carolina-based wildlife and landscape photographer with a passion for capturing the natural world and sharing the stories behind it.

​

My photography is driven by a simple idea: Chasing Light. Whether I'm photographing the expression of a black bear in a pocket of sunlight, the changing atmosphere of a coastal wetland, or the quiet transition between day and night, I'm drawn to the moments when light, subject, and environment come together to create something meaningful.

​

Much of my wildlife photography takes place in Eastern North Carolina, where I've spent countless hours observing and photographing American black bears and the diverse wildlife that calls this region home. Those experiences have given me a deep appreciation for animal behavior, natural habitats, and the importance of conservation.

​

My work extends beyond traditional wildlife photography. I'm equally passionate about fine-art landscapes, twilight photography, and documentary storytelling. I enjoy exploring the relationship between wildlife and its environment, and I'm particularly interested in documenting conservation efforts and the work of biologists and wildlife professionals in the field.

​

I believe a photograph should do more than show us what something looks like. It should give us a reason to stop, look closer, and experience the subject in a different way. For me, photography is not simply about documenting what is in front of the camera. It's about interpreting the moment, recognizing the possibilities in the light, and creating an image that communicates something beyond the subject itself.

​

My photographs have been featured in Wildlife in North Carolina and Our State Magazine, among other publications, and have received recognition through photography competitions and editorial features.

​

Whether I'm in the field photographing wildlife, working with natural light in the landscape, or studying biology and the people dedicated to protecting our natural resources, my goal remains the same: to create photographs that tell a story, inspire appreciation, and bring people a little closer to the natural world.
